Character Information:
Full Name: Komui Lee
Series Taken From: D. Gray-man
Power Retained: None. Just your typical crazy scientist.
Stats:
Speed: 3
Might: 5
Sanity: 5
Knowledge: 5
Background:
Once upon a time, Komui and his little sister Lenalee lived in happiness and peace in their hometown in China. But such stories rarely turn out happy (otherwise they would be boring), and this one is no exception. Akuma, trapped souls brought back from the dead as living weapons, came and decimated their birthplace, killing both of their parents as well of most of the other villagers. Komui was in his late teens at the time; Lenalee was 6. And to make said tragedy even more tragic, Lenalee was taken away by the Black Order after it was found she was compatible with Innocence, the only substance capable of defeating Akuma. Komui was left behind, homeless and alone.
But being the stubborn and resourceful person that he is, Komui refused to have his story end there. He studied and trained and fought tooth and nail to achieve the title of Supervisor at the headquarters of the Black Order. And finally, was he reunited with his darling Lenalee. When he took the position, he was renowned as one of the most brilliant, and perhaps zealous, scientists in employment. Day in and day out, he worked and worked and worked as well as the habitual drinking coffee made by his beloved little sister, avoiding paperwork, and building giant robots.
He spent the majority of his time as the Exorcists commander from the sidelines, handing out and reviewing completed (and failed) missions. And most of his subordinates came to respect him as their dependable but quirky leader. The thing is Komui could change moods at the drop of the hat. On one occasion, he nearly destroyed the headquarters itself when one of his giant robots, affectionately named Komurin, bashed around the building looking for Exorcists to upgrade. But on the other hand, he could be solemn, calm, and sincere as he honored the fallen he had sent into battle.
As the war between Akuma and Innocence continued, the death toll rose higher and higher. The prospects for victory looked bleaker and bleaker. Then, the bad guys brought the fight literally to the Black Order’s front doorstep. An ugly battle waged inside the headquarters, where the normal noncombatants were drawn into the line of fire. Scores of science division members were killed and the heroes severally wounded, but the Akuma went home empty handed and disappointed. However, the damage to headquarters had already been done. The enemy was fully aware of the exact location of the Black Order as well as how to penetrate its defenses. It was time to move.
And so, Komui picked up her Supervisor coat, giving his old office once last look over before turning off the light and stepping through the Ark, the interspatial … well, space, that would transport him to their new headquarters. But of course, things didn’t work our so simply. Instead he was dumped into a mysterious, dark house full of all sorts of things that parents used to scare their children into behaving. He was dumped into the haunted house on a hill.
